Red bellied woodpecker

This male red bellied woodpecker is a skittish fellow - I can rarely sneak up on him close enough to photograph. He normally gorges himself on suet, but we're out so he's attempting to break into a feeder designed for much smaller birds. In this shot he's just spotted me and is .01 seconds away from beating a hasty retreat. Perhaps I am anthropomorphizing here, but do I detect a look of guilty surprise on his face?
